Playgroups Should Be for Everyone
At Little Folx, we believe respectful, community-rooted spaces should be accessible to all families — not just those who can easily afford it. Our pricing is set to help sustain our small, independently-run program. But we also know that community care means showing up for each other where we can. If you have the means to pay a little more, your support directly helps fund access for families who otherwise might not be able to join. If you need a lower rate, we welcome you — no application, no judgment. We trust you to know your family’s situation.

How Sliding Scale Works
If the standard rate is a stretch for you, you’re welcome to pay at the lower end of the scale.
If you’re able to pay above the standard rate, your contribution directly helps us keep Little Folx accessible for all families.
No paperwork, no explanations needed — just choose the option that fits.

Why It Matters
At Little Folx, we believe in slowing down, looking around, and knowing whose land we’re standing on.
We gather on the stolen homelands of the Multnomah, Clackamas, Kathlamet, Tumwater, Watlala bands of the Chinook, and many other Tribes who have cared for this place far longer than we’ve been here.
We hold that in our hearts as we build something new together — something rooted in respect, community care, and real belonging.
We also know Portland didn’t just happen to become one of the whitest cities in the country — it was designed that way, through exclusion, displacement, and ongoing gentrification.
We’re not about pretending otherwise.
At Little Folx, we try to push back in small but meaningful ways: Offering sliding scale access without shame, centering families who have been historically excluded, and making sure every inch of our space feels like it belongs to all of us — not just some of us.
When you choose to pay a little more if you can, or ask for help when you need it, you’re helping keep that spirit alive — building something better, one joyful Saturday morning at a time.
